Booking help
Cancellations & refunds
What happens when plans change, a player cancels or Fancy A Game? has to cancel a fixture.
Player cancellations
A player may self-cancel a confirmed or complimentary booking when kick-off is more than 24 hours away. The cancellation is recorded immediately and the place is released so it can be offered to the next player or waitlist.
Confirmed bookings cannot be self-cancelled within 24 hours of kick-off. If exceptional circumstances apply, contact us; the operator can review the booking, but a refund or credit is not guaranteed.
Pending-payment holds and waitlist places may also be cancelled before the game, allowing capacity and queue positions to update.
Refunds and account credit
Cancelling a booking does not automatically send a card refund. Refunds and account credits are separate operator decisions and are recorded separately from the cancellation itself.
Where a refund or credit is approved, we will confirm which method applies. Card refunds can take additional time to appear depending on the payment provider and your bank.
We will not describe a refund as complete until it has actually been processed and recorded.
If we cancel a fixture
If Fancy A Game? cancels a fixture, we will contact affected players using their booking details and explain the available refund or account-credit resolution. The operator will process and record that resolution for each affected booking.
Do not travel to a venue after receiving a cancellation notice. Check My Games and the latest message from us for the current fixture status.
Need help with a booking?
Include the fixture title, date and the email used to book so we can find it quickly. Do not email card details.
